Mr. Joseph Smith Abbott is the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour in the British Virgin Islands. Within the Ministry, he is responsible for the coordination of environmental, biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation initiatives under the ministerial leadership. He is the former Director of the National Parks Trust of the Virgin where he served for 18 years.
