Brief Biography

Hon. Saboto Caesar
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labour
Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Hon. Saboto Scofield Caesar, is a young, brilliant, energetic, community activist, advocate and politician. A lawyer by profession, Caesar was born and raised in the constituency of South Central Windward. He is a devout Christian and a family-oriented young man.

He holds a Master of Laws degree (specialization in Banking and Finance Law) from the University of London; a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. The former Island Scholar and Banana Growers Association scholarship recipient, is a graduate of the Diamonds Village Government School, St. Martins Secondary and the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. His wide-ranging professional experience was garnered from his work as a Community Worker, Teacher, Lawyer, Government Senator and Minister.

He has worked with numerous sporting and cultural groups, and maintains an active interest in football, basketball, cricket and netball. His work with the farming community and primary, secondary and tertiary level students; have been exemplary. He has served as Junior Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Minister of Housing, Lands and Survey, Physical Planning, Informal Human Settlement and Local Government; Minister of Tourism and Industry; and currently he is the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Rural transformation.
