Brief Biography

Vaughn Martin
Serenity Dive Inc
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

My name is Vaughn Martin. I am a PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) Staff Instructor and have been diving for over 12+ years. In the past, I had the opportunity of managing and operating a dive center in Canouan for 5 years and then upon returning to mainland St.Vincent, opened up my own dive center “Serenity Dive Inc”, which has been operating for 4+ years now. Last year, we introduced scuba diving to Secondary schools over the summer and it has been very successful. The students has been assisting us with lionfish culling (which we use at our monthly lionfish fry every end of month) and soon to be organized underwater beach cleanups. We have also worked with ECMMAN (Eastern Caribbean Marine Managed Areas Network) projects where we were able to certify 25 fisher folks in the Calliaqua and Kingstown areas as a means of sustainable livelihoods.
